The Sims 2 - Kitchen Basic Grunge Recolours

A gift for Sketch.

10 random grunge recolours of the Kitchen Basic Set by Buggybooz. I have included a txt, in the zip file from Buggybooz listing all meshes slaved to this Kitchen Counter, with links to where you can download them. If you are one of the few people who does not already have kitchen basic in your game you can get it at BB's Retreat. All colours have a clean and a dirty state.

These are base game compatible, no EP's or SP's required!

Found: Buy Mode > Surfaces > Counters.  Price: §139.


Files have been compressed and checked in game. Colour charts are included in the zip files.

The Sims 2 - Cosmetology Career


Today I have a new career for you to enjoy! It’s the cosmetologist career. The cosmetologist career is an ideal career for my cosmetology major in my major pack uploaded a few weeks earlier here on this site. There are no chance cards completed with this career. If you run into a blank chance card, just press ignore. The job titles are numbered in game, so you know where your sim is at in their career.

Here are the career titles and descriptions:

1. Shampoo Boy (male)  1. Shampoo Girl (female)
It's your job to keep those pretty locks clean and ready to be cut for the barber. You also assist in sweeping the leftover hair from the aftermath of each haircut. Be sure to do your best schmoozing to try to win over the barber, he might give you a promotion to receptionist if you play your cards right.

2. Receptionist
You'll be taking numbers for appointments that come in to the hair salon. You will also be greeting guests as they come in, so be sure to look your best, keep your hygiene up, and your charisma up. You are the first face the customer will see when they come in the salon so you need to be completely professional at all times.

3. Hairdresser
You will mainly be working with colouring hair, teasing hair, curling hair that sort of thing. Leave the cutting to the real professionals. Be sure to know which colours to mix with which conditioners so as not to cause any colour damage.

4. Stylist
You are a step up above hairdresser, a step below barber. You are working your way up though. Keep up those charisma, cleaning, and creativity skills, and you're sure to be the envy of the hair art world.

5. Barber
You've now reached a point in your career where you are free to do hair in any shop you so choose to. You haven't quite made it to the point where you are your own boss yet, but you're almost there. Keep up the good work; you've made it this far, don't give up!

6. Head Barber
The Master Barber of the shop has chosen you to be the head barber. You are in charge of all the other workers in the shop, setting their hours and wages, giving out breaks, and if need be giving raises and promotions. In any other job your title would be Assistant Manager.

7. Master Barber
You own your own shop and have a crew of barbers, stylists, and other workers at your beckon call. You're making a lot more simoleons now, and you’re making a name for yourself with a few celebrity clients showing up from time to time.

8. Barbering College Professor
You've reached an expert status level of your career that you can now teach bright young minds how to successfully cut, colour, dye, shave, crimp, weave, and do just about anything humanly imaginable to hair.

9. Dean of the Barbering College
You've now reached the point of your career where you are such an expert on everything hair that you run an entire school on the subject of hair! You have earned a lot to make it this far, congratulations are in order, or wait isn't that what you say to your students when they graduate?

10. Celebrity Stylist
You are famous! Your talents have been seen on national television, in movies, and on the news! You are even a household name. Congratulations, you've made it to the top of the Cosmetologist career track!

The Sims 2 - Author Career


Today I have a new career for you to enjoy, the Author career. The career has numbers beside each job title in game so you know where your sim is at in their career. The career has no chance cards. If you come across a blank chance card, just press ignore.

Job Titles & Descriptions:

1. Newspaper Columnist
You're starting off your career writing for Sim City Times. Your new column "General Advice and Tidbits" is going well. You will be answering reader's questions on relationship advice, cooking tips, etiquette, social pointers and more.

2. Cliff Note Writer
You know those yellow and black striped pamphlets next to the books you see in the book store? Well, someone has to write them. It turns out that someone is you. You need to know your Shakespeare, Hemingway, Tolstoy and others and you'll do just fine.

3. Poet
You've entered the wonderful world of poetry. Let your muse run free. As you can see, poetry is a breeze. Do you have any cheese?

4. Lyricist
You've now used all your skill you've learned in poetry to make beautiful music to add to song. Enjoy it while it lasts; because the next levels of this career involve prose writing.

5. Playwright
You are now a playwright. You are coming up with some really good ideas for the young actors of Sim City to portray on stage. Who knew the life story of Mother Theresa could be a musical? Only you could pull that off.

6. Magazine Editor
Remember when you were a homely newspaper columnist? Well now you can use all you learned then in your current position as a magazine editor. It's pretty much the same thing but on a much, much, much larger scale.

7. Romance Novelist
Everyone wants to know, is Cindy cheating on Eldrick, who is the father of Amber's baby, did Harry land him that new job in the city, the answer to all of these questions and more can be answered in your latest novel.

8. Best Selling Author
Your books are flying off the shelves! Everyone wants a copy of your latest novel. You are now a house hold name and everyone wants a piece of the action. You are really living the high life now.

9. Television Show Writer
You are the writer of some of the greatest hit television shows on TV today. Your shows and other works from the past are garnering the eyes of Hollywood. Soon your work will be headed to the big screen if you keep going the way you're going.

10. Movie Script Writer
You have now reached the top of your career; you are writing movies for such big blockbuster hits as Jurassic Pork, Star Poors, and Next Men, You've done so well. Congratulations are in order for sure.

The Sims 2 - 9 New Majors

Well, it's been a while since I've been able to create anything because for a long time I didn't have a computer. Now I have a computer, but I don't have internet so I can create, but the creations won't be in such as a volume as they were before.


Today I have a few college majors for your young adult sims to enjoy. All majors have English and English (UK) translations. I tried to follow Maxis’ formula for humorous class titles as much as possible.

The first major is Botany
