The Sims 2 - OFB/FT Flamenco Hair Without Flower

I love the style of the Open for Business and Freetime hair, but hate that ugly flower. I wanted to share this earlier, but ran into a snag, now it's ready to go. The hair is binned and family binned. Enjoy!

  2. You're welcome, I had so much fun doing this. Sometimes I need breaks from it though.

  3. @TheNinthWaveSims - Is this a replacement? Just wondered. If it is a replacement, I suppose I can live with it. My Sims will be much happier anyway, since they'll now be able to use the hairstyle as a full time substitute for the short hair from the base game.

It might be a few days before I can check in-game myself, but I wondered how good this mod is. Like, a few years ago I downloaded a mod that had the https://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims2/id/287356/ exact same purpose. Problem is that that mod's textures are a bit shoddy, especially the red haired version. And on top of that, it is all binned as custom hair instead of in the default colour bins.

So I ended up only using the mod when I had to. And whenever I could choose between taking a screenshot of the default Maxis version of the hairstyle and use editing tools to remove the flower, or using the mod, I would do the former. Normally in that case, I tended to take the screenshot of the Sim with the flower hidden from view.

  4. C.Syde 65, It's not a default replacement.

  5. That's nice. Means I'll get to pick whether I want it replaced or not.

  6. Unfortunately I've spotted issues with the mesh that will prevent me from being able to use it as a full time replacement. The skin underneath is the wrong colour, and part of the skin at the back of the head is the same colour as the hair colour instead of being the same colour as the corresponding skin colour. Not sure if anyone else has had these issues, but I have.

  7. This hair was made 7 years ago, I was still learning. Sorry for the error. You would probably be more interested in my more recent hairs.

  8. I guess I can understand the reason for not being perfect then. Would it be possible to try reattempting it? Since I was hoping maybe you'd be able to do it better if you tried to redo it.

"Re-download, and let me know if you have the same problem now."

and before you posted this comment:

"If you downloaded before 10:38 pm CST on March 02/2020 try again."

I just didn't get around to replying until now.

Not sure when I'll be able to check though. But it should be in less than a week.

  12. Unfortunately it's the same old same old. It still has the same issues with the skin texture.
