The Sims 2 - Author Career

Today I have a new career for you to enjoy, the Author career. The career has numbers beside each job title in game so you know where your sim is at in their career. The career has no chance cards. If you come across a blank chance card, just press ignore.

Job Titles & Descriptions:

1. Newspaper Columnist

You're starting off your career writing for Sim City Times. Your new column "General Advice and Tidbits" is going well. You will be answering reader's questions on relationship advice, cooking tips, etiquette, social pointers and more.

2. Cliff Note Writer

You know those yellow and black striped pamphlets next to the books you see in the book store? Well, someone has to write them. It turns out that someone is you. You need to know your Shakespeare, Hemingway, Tolstoy and others and you'll do just fine.

3. Poet

You've entered the wonderful world of poetry. Let your muse run free. As you can see, poetry is a breeze. Do you have any cheese?

4. Lyricist

You've now used all your skill you've learned in poetry to make beautiful music to add to song. Enjoy it while it lasts; because the next levels of this career involve prose writing.

5. Playwright

You are now a playwright. You are coming up with some really good ideas for the young actors of Sim City to portray on stage. Who knew the life story of Mother Theresa could be a musical? Only you could pull that off.

6. Magazine Editor

Remember when you were a homely newspaper columnist? Well now you can use all you learned then in your current position as a magazine editor. It's pretty much the same thing but on a much, much, much larger scale.

7. Romance Novelist

Everyone wants to know, is Cindy cheating on Eldrick, who is the father of Amber's baby, did Harry land him that new job in the city, the answer to all of these questions and more can be answered in your latest novel.

8. Best Selling Author

Your books are flying off the shelves! Everyone wants a copy of your latest novel. You are now a house hold name and everyone wants a piece of the action. You are really living the high life now.

9. Television Show Writer

You are the writer of some of the greatest hit television shows on TV today. Your shows and other works from the past are garnering the eyes of Hollywood. Soon your work will be headed to the big screen if you keep going the way you're going.

10. Movie Script Writer

You have now reached the top of your career; you are writing movies for such big blockbuster hits as Jurassic Pork, Star Poors, and Next Men, You've done so well. Congratulations are in order for sure.

The Sims 2 - 9 New Majors

Well, it's been a while since I've been able to create anything because for a long time I didn't have a computer. Now I have a computer, but I don't have internet so I can create, but the creations won't be in such as a volume as they were before.

Today I have a few college majors for your young adult sims to enjoy. All majors have English and English (UK) translations. I tried to follow Maxis’ formula for humorous class titles as much as possible.

The Sims 2 - FT Ant Farm Recolours

As requested by Zoey. The Formidable Formicarium (Ant Farm) in LACK Colours. Ants are tightly knit communities that rely on their highly organized colonies for survival. Housing these creatures is a fickle matter and should not be taken lightly. This ant farm gives your six-legged friends all the amenities they need: from building tunnels to protecting queens, your ants will find this environment antastic! Sims can also shake the ant farm, which may allow the ants to escape.

These are not base game compatible, FreeTime is required!

As requested by Zoey and with permission from Fresh-Prince, I have made the Children's Deluxe Stove recolourable and recoloured it in LACK colours. I did not do LACK white as the original Children's Deluxe Stove is white.

The Sims 2 - No Flying From Bubble Blower

This mod may have been done before somewhere on the internet, but it hasn't been done by me. I did all the work on this myself, and if you haven't seen it, then it's new to you!

This mod makes the bubble blower a bit more realistic, sims will no longer fly in the air while using the bubble blower. Enjoy!

In my spare time away from sims I found new hobbies to do online, and one of those was creating South Park characters on a cool site where you can enter contests and such for your designs called http://sp-studio.de/ . I have quite a few up there. I decided for my first set of wall art converted for The Sims 2, I'd recolour the Civic Idol poster from the base game with some cult classic Hollywood horror heavies I did at the South Park generator site. The Sims 2 - Plastic Surgeon Career

Well guys I haven't shared anything for a very long time, and I think it's because I forgot how fun it can be to create. I lost internet for a very long time, but now I finally have it back. So in the meantime I started playing The Sims 2 without internet, because there's not much else to do around here with no internet, and I wrote up this career to pass the time. It was inspired by watching the series of Nip Tuck on DVD also out of boredom.

Here's the level titles and descriptions. They are numbered in game. Biology majors in university get to level 3 automatically. The career reward is a surgical dummy.

1. Office Clerk

You don't quite have the limelight of the plastic surgeon doctors, or nurses, or even secretaries. It's your job to stay in the back and file paperwork the secretary sends your way. Hey, at least without you, the entire operation would crumble! Just think of it that way. Keep your eyes toward the prize, and you'll be on your way up in the plastic surgery field in no time.

2. Secretary

You've only just begun to scratch the surface (no pun intended) of the plastic surgery field. You have quite a long way to go. However, you've moved from the back office to the front where your customer service skills will be shining bright. There will be good days, and bad. Good patients, and bad. There will be days when you just wish it would end, but that's probably true with any job.

3. CNA

You've taken the 4 week course to become a certified nurse's assistant. It's your job to sort the silicone and clean the collagen injectors. Not the most glamorous job to say the least, but at least it's work. Keep working hard, keep at it, you'll be on your way. It will take time, perseverance, and determination, but you will be on your way.

4. Intern

You're fresh out of nursing school, ready to learn as much as you can from the plastic surgeons in the office. You'll be taking notes while they perform surgery, and assisting the nurses as well. You've been in this office for quite a while, and you're privy to some secrets that could cost the reputation of the main partners in the office. Hold your tongue, or it could be your job on the line!

5. Nurse

As a nurse it's your job to help recovering plastic surgery patients with whatever they need. Your duties also include prepping patients for surgery, and helping the doctors perform surgery by passing them scalpels, and other tools. If you're sure to keep up cleaning and charisma skills you'll make it far in this line of work.

6. Head Nurse

No longer do you have toil now you are finally in a place of leadership in the office. It's your job to oversee all the other nurses, and employees below the nurses in the office. You write out schedules, do a bit more paperwork than hands on activities that you did when you were a nurse, and you've become closer to the partner surgeons in the office.

7. Plastic Surgeon

 Congratulations are in order in deed. You've finally made it to the crucial stage of the plastic surgeon career where you are actually a plastic surgeon! That's a lot of quality career standards you've had to go through! Not quite the head surgeon in the office, or even a partner, but you certainly do have some clout. Keep up the good work, and make them look pretty and begging for more liposuction and lip injections.

8. Partner Plastic Surgeon

The partner plastic surgeon has now retired, leaving you to oversee their office with the other partner in the office. You're doing serious cases now such as birth defects, victims of abuse who's faces have been disfigured, and sims who's faces were mangled in automobile accidents. Of course with the latter, most of them can't afford your care, so the insurance company pays for it all, but you are glad to help (as long as you get your money).

9. Head Plastic Surgeon

As far as the pecking order of this office you are right up there on top. You don't have to work as many hours, and get paid even more money. Everyone in the office answers to you. Life couldn't get any easier. Your office has the lowest rate of botulism in the region, and when people think "pretty" they think of you and your staff. Well done!

10. Plastic Surgeon to the Stars

You have clients such as Cher, Joan Collins, Janet Jackson, and just about anyone in Hollywood who needs a little nip or tuck. You're the most trusted, honorable surgeon in the field. That's why everyone looks to you. You should be very proud of yourself. You've made it to the top of the top of your field. It just doesn't get any better (or more lucrative) than this.

The Sims 2 - FT Double Bed Match Rough And Comfy FT Required (Updated)

This is a Maxis match to the Freetime Rough and Comfy single bed. This is the double bed version. The frame is slaved to the original Freetime single bed. The bedding is slaved to the proper bedding needed for slaving bedding, so that any custom and Maxis bedding will appear. Enjoy!

Updated - Fixed an error in the slaving (fame is now slaved, I didn't notice this problem earlier because most beds group is called frame, this is the only one I've encountered that is different. It will now pull recolours of frames [there is only 1 Maxis color option]).
