Joan Crawford was a famous U.S. actress. She gained acclaim for her films Grand Hotel, Mildred Pierce, and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. Her most notable portrayal was however, after her death when Faye Dunaway played Joan in the movie Mommie Dearest based off of the tell all book by her daughter Christina.
